Jai Puar, President
BBA, 4th Year
As President, Jai is responsible for leading the AS executive council, overseeing smooth functioning of various activities and projects, acting as a liaison between faculty and students, maintaining active and warm relationships with sponsors, and working on key areas of immediate and future improvement. This summer, he worked for Shoppers Drug Mart performing accounting and administrative duties. Jai believes in hard work and persistence and strives for personal growth. In his spare time, Jai enjoys meditating and powerlifting.

Veronica Vollmer, VP Finance
BBA, 3rd Year
As Vice President of Finance, Veronica is responsible for maintaining the financial records of the Society and working closely with fellow executives to plan and budget for events that will occur throughout the 2009-2010 year. During this past summer, Veronica used her business savvy to open up a family dental practice. She put together a business plan, obtained financing, arranged for supplies, and helped set up the clinic’s accounting and administration. In her spare time, Veronica enjoys shopping, reading, and bodybuilding.

Aveet Vajawala, VP Communications & Technology
BBA, 3rd Year
As VP Communications and Technology, Aveet is responsible for organizing the various forms of communication media available, all of which are easily accessible to its members. He is responsible for maintaining, developing and promoting the Society’s website, in addition to managing the electronic mail database and frequent communications to all its members. Aveet enjoys working with film/ video production and editing, and hopes to expand the Accounting Society onto YouTube. In his spare time he likes going to the gym, watching movies, and playing bass guitar in the Schulich Band, Debits & Credits.

Jehangir Syed, VP Special Events
BBA, 4th Year
As Vice President of Special Events, Jehangir is responsible for planning, organizing and hosting the Accounting Society Case Competition and a surprise event in the winter term. In addition, Jehangir works closely with our corporate sponsors and the event organizers to ensure the success of our various speaker series events. This past summer, Jehangir worked as a Student Program Assistant for YUELI where he befriended many international students and learned interesting facts about various cultures. Believing that he can do anything, Jehangir uses his spare time wisely and is currently training to become a Tennis Superstar.

Natalie Festa, VP Marketing
BBA, 2nd Year
As Vice President of Marketing, Natalie is responsible for promoting Accounting Society's events, developing marketing strategies, and implementing recruitment campaigns. Natalie works at TD Canada Trust as a part-time Customer Service Representative where she provides customers with a comfortable banking experience. Natalie is dedicated to making the Schulich community aware of the numerous opportunities the accounting profession has to offer, while at the same time illustrating the importance of maintaining a balance between school work, extra-curricular activities, and social life. During her spare time, Natalie enjoys playing soccer, shopping, and travelling.

Anthony Antanrajakumar, VP External Affairs
BBA, 4th Year
As the VP of external relations, Anthony Antanrajakumar works diligently to develop the relationship the Accounting Society has with its corporate sponsors. This includes presenting opportunities to partners which are in line with their needs. This year Anthony has ensured that sponsor’s interest are always taken into account when planning and creating new events for the student body. In his free time Anthony enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing sports, and test driving different cars.

Irene Cho, Event Coordinator
BBA, 4th Year
The event coordinators act as key liaisons between the Accounting Society members and its various external partners to ensure mutual benefits is achieved amongst all parties. Irene and Tiffany work together to develop and execute major initiatives throughout the school year including the recruitment series, information sessions, and office visits. They also assist the VP, Special Events in planning the Annual Accounting Social Event and Case Competition. Irene is currently in her fourth year at Schulich and loves to play piano and sing when she's not reading about IFRS. She also enjoys playing volleyball and reading outside.

Tiffany Madlambayan, Event Coordinator
BBA, 4th Year
During the past two summers she has worked as a Control Analyst at CIBC. She has also served on Schulich’s Women in Leadership Executive Team for two consecutive terms as the Co-Chair of Communications and Internal Relations. Tiffany is committed to providing unremitting support to industry professionals and bodies and society members. She loves spending her free time with her family and friends. She is excited to meet everybody and is looking forward to an amazing year!

Thaksa Sethukavalan, Editor in Chief
BBA, 3rd Year
As Editor-in-Chief, Thaksa is responsible for putting together and coordinating the production of the Professional Perspective, the Schulich Accounting Society’s annual magazine. Her main duties include communicating with firm representatives, obtaining and editing articles to be included with the magazine, and working with the INSIDER Media Group to design the final product. In addition to being involved with the Accounting Society, Thaksa also serves as Marketing and Communications Director for Women in Leadership and as Production Director for the INSIDER Media Group. In her free time, Thaksa enjoys shopping, hanging out with close friends and teaching Hindu religion classes.
