Ankush had an unforgettable experience with his first summer internship with KPMG. He started his first rotation in May 2011, in the Information, Communication & Entertainment (ICE) practice. Ankush appreciated the high level of inclusiveness at KPMG where he had the opportunity to work with senior staff accountants, mangers and partners on numerous client engagements. He really enjoyed the level of exposure he received through being able to interact with the senior management of the diverse line of clients he helped service this summer. In July 2011, Ankush moved on to his second rotation in US Corporate Tax. In his spare time, Ankush enjoys travelling and attending baseball games.
One of Ankush’s favourite memories this summer was volunteering with his fellow interns and employees for the Jays Care Foundation.

In his second rotation, Ryan joined the Marketing team at KPMG with a focus on event planning. Fouad Nakhla
Email fnakhla12@gmail.com
Fouad began with KPMG in early May. After a week of training, Fouad joined Consumer Markets for his audit rotation, where he began heading out to clients immediately. Everyone in the group from the senior to the partner engaged on the client was extremely friendly and flexible. His second rotation was in Advisory, and more specifically Corporate Finance.
Fouad was also leader of the Athletics Committee, and he had a great time organizing and scheduling events for the interns to participate in. The thing Fouad enjoyed most at KPMG was all the socials. They were loads of fun, and gave everyone a great opportunity to bond and gel with not only interns, but seniors, managers, and partners as well. Fouad loves to play basketball and other sports outside of work.

Working with KPMG was a great way for Julia to spend her summer! She had the opportunity to work at KPMG’s Enterprise and Global Learning practices, and worked on a variety of clients from NPO’S, to government organizations, and to private businesses. Julia valued that KPMG entrusted her to work with clients and she felt accountable for her work.
Besides working with KPMG, she was enrolled in a summer course; which would enable her to study abroad in Italy. She was able to balance both commitments with the support from her performance manager and colleagues. Over the summer, Julia was able to grow on a personal and professional level.
This experience is one she will never forget. From the memorable socials, charity events, opportunities for professional development, and AMAZING colleagues Julia found the right firm!

Natalie Festa
Email nfesta12@gmail.com
One of Natalie’s most interesting work opportunities was being involved in the Forensic practice for two weeks during her unassigned time. She demonstrated her strong passion for Forensic and expressed an interest to have anyopportunity in this field of work to gain some practical insight. The Recruiting Team and a manager in the Forensic group were extremely supportive in facilitating this arrangement. This unique opportunity portrays the emphasis that KPMG places on company-wide opportunities, which Natalie finds is extremely important in finding a personal niche and building mutually beneficial relationships.
KPMG provides a work environment that is cooperative, respectful, and thoroughly supports work/life balance, which are strong values of Natalie’s. In addition to interning at KPMG, Natalie was also enrolled in a summer course during the evenings and was initially concerned that it would be tremendously difficult to balance her commitments. KPMG encouraged her to manage multiple priorities to effectively meet all deadlines, demonstrating why KPMG is - without a doubt - a Perfect Fit for her.

Andrew began his internship in January and did a 2 month audit rotation in the Financial Institutions group. He then went on exchange for 4 months and returned to KPMG in July to complete his second rotation in the Advisory- Transaction Services group. There he got the opportunity to work on deals in several industries including Mining, Education, and Automotive industries. Outside of work, Andrew is a passionate baseball fan and enjoys going to Blue Jays games over the summer.
Andrew’s favourite memory of the summer was getting the chance to participate in the Big 4 Accounting Firms firsbee tournament!

Andrea had a phenomenal internship with KPMG that began with a two-month rotation in the Financial Institutions practice in January 2011. She enjoyed bonding with all the fantastic people on her audit teams, and gained practical audit experience during busy season. She then went on an international study term in Vienna, Austria for four months, and returned in July for her second rotation, this time in KPMG Forensic. Here, she sharpened her detective skills during investigations and learned about the legal implications of the “dark side” of accounting. Andrea truly appreciated how flexible the firm was to allow for such a unique work arrangement to accommodate for her exchange abroad. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys travelling and camping outdoors.
The best part of Andrea’s experience was meeting incredible mentors who continue to pass along valuable professional and personal advice, and she hopes to one day join their ranks!
